Not of the Usual Find (Locked to Adam)
PX3-427, while of no interest to anyone else who wasn't in his department, was an incredible find. There were no living inhabitants, but the gigantic step pyramid, that is roughly three kilometers from the Gate, was perfectly intact.

What wasn't intact was the outer lining village which surrounded the pyramid. The only reason it could be told that there had been a village on the land were the fragments of terracotta, weathered tools, and chunks of planks of wood with small pieces of leathery animal hide tied around the edges.

The riverbed along side one edge of the village had completely dried up, which made him think that it was likely that the one-time inhabitants had left this area, rather than died out.

The findings inside the pyramid proved to be the incredible find on this land.

The inside walls of the pyramid were marked with hieroglyphs, murals, and Goa'uld. Writing marked this planet as Saqqara, the one-time seat of Osiris's power. What he knew about Osiris came from Egyptian lore as well as piecing together what other Goa'uld had written about Osiris, but before now, a pyramid of Osiris had never been found.

Some of the depictions in the murals, and artifacts found in Osiris's throne room, were the reason he was making a personal phone call now. He fingered the photographs and smirked into the mouthpiece.

The meeting with Horton had both intrigued and bothered him. He'd driven slowly back to the house and was perched on top of the car's hood thinking--and avoiding boxes--when the phone rang.

It wasn't a number he recognized. Not local. He frowned a bit and answered it more officially than was his wont, in case it was someone from the Council.

"Pierson."

The phone rang only twice when the voice of an old friend came through the earpiece. "Hello, Adam." It had been about two years since last he spoke with the older Immortal. Two years and the Immortal hadn't gone and changed his cellphone number. "Have a moment?"
